How I cleared out my collection of running bots this week

The other day I noticed I was running out of RAM and wondered: does all of this really need to keep running?

First, I handed Moni checker bot over to the Moni team. I hope it will be useful to them; they were happy to receive the code. The @MoniCheckerBot username no longer belongs to me.

Then I shut down @mirrorPostsBot and published its latest changes on GitHub. Paragraph had enabled an anti-bot system for its RSS, so I could no longer retrieve it. I did not want to deal with browsers, and I had found other ways to read RSS. If you are interested, leave a comment and I will describe them.

Next came @price_informerBot. I had previously written about pagination, but it turned out not to work when moving back and forth. I fixed an error in how navigation history was tracked.

Most importantly, I added token search by simply typing into the bot’s chat. You can launch it and enter the Russian word for gold to get tokens with “gold” in their names and tickers. Russian names for Bitcoin and Solana are supported too. One limitation: the common Russian name for Ether does not return results; ETH requires the Russian transliteration of “Ethereum,” or simply “Ethereum” in English. You can also search by blockchain: I tried Hyperliquid, Golos and Minter. I think it is a useful feature. Enjoy!

One more thing: I fixed history in @blind_dev_bot. Ordinary user messages are no longer saved in navigation history—only commands are. Leaving “Invite to channel” mode now works correctly too. One user had remained in that mode, causing their messages in @blind_dev_chat to be deleted.
